Written by Trent Reznor and appeared on Nine Inch Nails second album, The Downward Spiral (1994). Johnny Cash covered to commercial and critical acclaim in 2002. The related music video is considered one of the greatest of all time by publications such as NME. Reznor praised Cash’s interpretation of the song for its “sincerity and meaning”, going so far as to say “that song isn’t mine anymore”

Written by Bryan MacLean - originally appeared on the album Forever Changes (1967). The Damned final Top 40 hit to date - released in 1987 it peaked at #27 in the UK

Original written and performed by the The Doors and appeared on their second album, Strange Days (1967). This version featured on the soundtrack of the The Lost Boys (1987) and peaked at #29 in the UK Singles Chart as a double A side (Lips Like Sugar)

Written as the debut single for Partridge Family (1970) which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 for three weeks. As with all of the Partridge Family’s studio output, the single features musicians associated with iconic Los Angeles–based session players “The Wrecking Crew”. This version was released as the second single from the album “Let It Bee” (1991) and peaked at #25 on the UK Singles Chart
