About the EP#
Art School Dancing preserves a one-off Becky Becky performance made for Ally Gourlay’s final Art School Dancing radio show. Rather than simply revisiting the duo’s studio recordings, the four-song session stretches their literary electro-pop into something looser and more immediate.
At its centre is a ten-minute “House of the Black Madonna”, more than twice the length of the version on Good Morning, Midnight. That expanded performance is the version heard in Sundown Sessions Show #1, while appearances by “Sparrow” and “Champagne on Christmas Day” in later shows make the EP a recurring thread through the series.
