In the Flat Field established Bauhaus as one of the most important British post-punk bands.
It reached number 72 on the UK Albums Chart and is regarded as a foundational document of gothic rock, combining Daniel Ash’s angular guitar work with Peter Murphy’s dramatic vocals and a dark, cavernous production aesthetic.
