Dirk Wears White Sox reached number two on the UK Albums Chart on its 2004 remaster release and is an influential document of the UK post-punk scene, predating the band’s subsequent commercial breakthrough with the tribal pop of Kings of the Wild Frontier.
The album showcases a rawer, darker side of Adam Ant’s songwriting.
