About Voice Of The Beehive
Voice Of The Beehive formed in London in 1986 around Californian sisters Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland. Their early recording line-up paired the sisters with guitarist Mike Jones, bassist Martin Brett and drummer Daniel “Woody” Woodgate of Madness. Their 1988 debut, Let It Bee, brought them to a wider audience through “I Say Nothing” and “Don’t Call Me Baby”, balancing indie-pop energy with wry observations on relationships.

Honey Lingers (1991) moved towards a more polished pop sound, with “Monsters and Angels”, “Perfect Place” and “I Think I Love You” continuing their run of UK hits. The latter is the track featured on Sundown Sessions Show #3, offering a route into the album’s mix of romantic optimism and barbed humour.
