About The Motors

The Motors were a British pub-rock and new wave band formed in London in 1977 by former Ducks Deluxe members Nick Garvey and Andy McMaster with Rob Hendry and Ricky Slaughter. Their urgent guitar pop produced a lasting UK hit with “Airport” and a catalogue that connects pub-rock grit with the cleaner, punchier sound of late-1970s new wave.
