About Spoon
Spoon formed in Austin around Britt Daniel and Jim Eno, developing a rock sound defined less by excess than by placement: clipped rhythms, dry guitar figures, sudden spaces and melodies that arrive at unexpected angles. That economy became the band’s signature as their catalogue moved through indie rock, post-punk and more rhythmically adventurous pop.
